Ritchey Trail Masters Requirements

Timing device:
At registration, each rider will receive a timing chip for the special stage time trails. Members of staff will explain how to attach it to your bike. It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure the chip is properly mounted. If done incorrectly or not done at all no time can be given at the special stages. The timing chip has to be securely fitted on the competitor’s bike and cannot be changed at any stage in the event.

Phone number / mobile phone:
We ask every team / solo rider to carry a fully charged mobile phone for emergencies. Please note that you will only have limited charging facilities during the weekend so please keep it ONLY for emergency usage. We would like to ask every mobile phone to be registered at the signing on so that we can get hold of the team / solo rider in case of emergencies. This is extremely important and in the general interest of safety.

Event village / signing on:
The event village, the start / finish will be based in Royal Wales Showground in Builth Wells. Signing on will be open from Thursday 23rd May 2013 between 6.00pm – 9.00pm and on Friday 24th May between 8.00am – 10.00am. The signing on for the 1 day event will be on Friday 24th May 2013 between 6.00pm – 9.00pm and on 25th May between 7.00am – 8.00am at event venue. The start of the ride on Friday will be at 12pm (noon) and at 9.30am on Saturday and Sunday morning.

Main briefing:
We are aiming to run the main event briefing at around 10.30am on Friday morning and will also repeat the most important point for the 1-day event riders on Saturday morning during the stage briefing. On top of the main briefing we will run stage briefings prior to the start of the stage (roughly 20 minutes before we get going). It is essential that every competitor is present at the main briefing.

Camping / parking / facilities:
There will be hot showers, toilets, bike washing facilities and water at the event village. Find your own camping plot when you arrive and try to be sensible with the amount of space you take up. You can park your car next to your tent. We welcome camper vans / caravans and mobile homes but ask you to be extra sensible with the usage of generators in the evening. Please keep in mind that camping and parking is done at your own risk. Do not leave valuables in your car, or on display. Be extra careful with your bikes as well. There will be no electric hook-ups on site.

Support staff / food voucher:
We welcome support crews and families at our event. Providing they are accompanying a rider camping, usage of the facilities and our event programme is free of charge. We might also offer a few extra services which have to paid separately if you want to take part / make use of them. We also have a ‘food only’ voucher in place for the three event days for £50. Please purchase the ‘food only’ voucher when you come to the registration at the event. The food voucher entitles the holder to the same meals as the riders (Silver and Gold package)
