The season is in full flow with already two of our five marathons been and gone and with the British summer showing its very best side at the moment.
Riding out and dusty trails is a real blast at the moment but with time also ticking on we thought we send a quick reminder of our new event in 2012.
The Ritchey TrailMasters powered by Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport – will be coming to town (Llanwrtyd Wells to be precise) on the 17-18-19th August 2012 and will offer rider a new concept of three days of Cross Country enduro event riding.
Quickly the concept
The Ritchey TrailMasters is a three day event (one day option available as well) in which solo riders or teams of three will ben riding challenging cross country courses interspersed with two special (timed) stages per day.
So you will find some of the best marathon style courses (loaded with all the technical riding you love to get under your wheels) mixed in with some shorter timed section where every second counts. To find out more details on how this new events works hop onto the concept page.

Distance and ‘one day event’
The over all distance of the TrailMasters will be around 220km with more than 7,000m of climbing. But if the three days are too much for you and you can only spare a day or two you can also come along and take part in the day rider event (Saturday) and enjoy the spectacular ride as well as the fantastic event atmosphere. Further details on the course here and on the day entry here.
Enter Now!
The new Ritchey TrailMasters powered by Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport website www.trailmasters.cc is now open and ready for business.
Riders and their support crews can find out all the retails on the stages, the ‘off bike’ program and the entry details.
To enter please go to the entry page where you can enter either via the secure online entry or by downloading an entry form.
Where is it going to take place?
The event will be based in the very heard of Welsh mountain biking – Llanwrtyd Wells – one of the most famous mountain bike locations in the UK which has seen the birth of lots of world renown events (Man vs. Horse, Real Ale Wobble, Bog Snorkelling World Champs…) as well as the 1st UK mountain bike centre which was opened more than 25 years ago.
‘Off the bike’ time
Besides making sure that the riding is the best the UK has to offer we are also putting extra effort and attention to detail into the ‘off the bike’ time. The event village in Llanwrtyd Wells will be open throughout the day and will have an extended programme of fun rides, test courses, fun runs, kids activity, films etc to entertain the support crews and the families who have come along to enjoy the weekend. All these activities are free of charge – so make sure you bring your family along! And once the riders have returned we will have an extended evening programme with live music, on site bar, film and photo shows, technical seminars and maybe even a pub quiz! Again all these activities are part of the entry fee.
Ritchey TrailMasters guidebook
Further to our event website we have also put together a digital guidebook on the event.
So far more than 50,000 people have enjoyed the read which will give you a detailed insight into the event, the course, the people who will come along and into what will on offer.
To enjoy simply click on the little booklet icon on the right hand side of the TrailMasters homepage. The booklet works on PC, Mac and most tablets including iPads – enjoy!
See you all in August!
